Thank you for this book. It has returned me to a path I slipped off of while returning to school. Hard to remain smooth edged and still produce to obtain that degree. The ability of the Arapaho to live life as it is rather than as they expect it to be is where I want to be. You have given all of us a gift.

Stanford has been to Harvard and the University of Vermont and St. Michael’s College, which is also in Burlington, Vt. This all sounds great…

I am a philosopher from NYC on a tour of the West with my family. I have just visited Stanford’s ranch upon reading about your book in the NYTimes. I have been deeply affected by his presence and graciousness – and thinking of trying to spend more time studying with him…and maybe figure out how he can get more support for what he does..? He seems interested in being introduced in academic settings – I gather he toured Harvard and Brown a couple of year ago – and am exploring possibilities of getting him out to Rutgers. We are in the Boulder area for the week and would love to meet up with you for a chat if you are around…

Thanks for taking time out from force to go with surrender. Beautiful blog.
