Lisa has written about dams that cause diabetes, high school basketball in Wyoming, cowgirls during calving season, the regional Miss Navajo Pageant, native bees, geese as companions, the state of land-grant universities in the West, dating biologists and global warming.

She lives in Colorado with her husband and two cats. Broken: A Love Story is her first book.
